Salt of the Earth Table Decor

We sit with our precious loved ones around the table up to three times a day. It is a special place. It’s where we pray and nourish our bodies and hearts. It’s where babies make a huge mess and toddlers pick their nose and laugh. It’s where husband and wife can talk about their days together. It’s essential to make your table a clean, comfortable place for your family. God gave us the healthy resources in the form of food, and Jesus wants us to sit around the table together and enjoy our meals with family and friends. We are the Salt of the Earth.

The most important thing on my table is our Bible sitting on a very pretty cake stand. The words we need, open and right there to read whenever. Beeswax candles are also a very nice non-toxic choice to enjoying a candlelit dinner with family. My toddler had enjoyed learning how to blow out the candles, pretending they were birthday and baptismal ones. Candles are especially important during Advent. They even make beeswax Advent candles! Advent wreaths are absolutely gorgeous and bring true meaning to the table during Advent.

Next, we are the Salt of this Earth. Having a nice salt and pepper caddy goes a long way. I absolutely love this one from Amazon found here https://amzn.to/3FbXaVL. It serves its purpose and has a cute charm to it.

I actually reused my small glass jars from empty seasonings. They work perfectly. Then I got this little caddy that holds both together. You’ll also need a nice butter dish. Try to get glass or ceramic.

It’s cozy looking to have white table coverings if you like table cloths, and pretty placemats. I like darker placemats for obvious reasons. When we eat at the table, our family shoves the table cloth to the side of the table we aren’t using simply because, well, we have two little ones! But when we are done eating we cover the table in the white cloth and it stays looking clean and ready for the next meal.

Keep it simple. Keep it clean. And eat your meals at the table, together.

Blessings to you!
