I like to make my husband’s lunch as special as I can. Adding all his favorites. Here are few of our current go-tos.
Fresh salad
Homemade bread with no nitrate/nitrite lunch meat sandwiches
Cuties, lots of cuties
Apples and Fresh fruit cut up (strawberries, blueberries, whatever is in season and organic)
Cottage cheese, string cheese, or yogurt
Cut up veggies if not in the salad already (big carrots, celery, broccoli if he likes it!)
Leftovers: homemade pizza, tacos, chili, quesadillas, steak, pork chop, etc.
Best lunch wraps with organic lettuce, ranch, homemade tortilla, red onion, chicken breast (grill it with avocado oil) and shred your own cheese! Delicious! I have yet to get a picture of these because they are so good, we devour them for lunches. Update: I got a picture! They are amazing! Best with Monterey jack cheese.
Tip: prep your lunch for the next day as well, even if you’re a stay at home mama like me. It really helps and saves time. Even better, make his lunch (and/or kids’ lunches) for the next day WHILE you are eating your lunch because chances are they are using both the same ingredients, you’re welcome!
Tip: Store your opened block cheese in glass storage containers in the original packaging and please shred your own cheese!

I love these food containers shown above! Link here https://amzn.to/3XvMdot. They fit perfect in a lunch box and are just the right size for a good lunch. Just make sure you’re not using plastic containers! Glass is the best. I like to add healthy chips (Cape Cod Kettle Cooked Potato Chips) and maybe a homemade cookie for my husband.
Tip: Use some brown parchment paper to put dressing in with a salad instead of putting it all on the bottom. I just twist two sides together to make a little boat and pour dressing in it.
A great side is to make your own trail mix. My husband likes raisins and cashews. Crunchmaster Multi-seed Crisps are a great option too. Try to avoid crackers that have BHT in them which is literally most of them in the store except organic ones.
Learning how to food prep will really save you time, and keep your family healthy. I found these nice silicone replacement lids for Pyrex glass food storage. They have a tab in the middle that you turn to the date they were put in the fridge, so you’ll know how long the food will last. Plus like me, I’m sure many of you have experienced the breaking lids on those Pyrex, am I right? Well, don’t throw the glass containers away. Purchase new lids and update those lids to the silicone date ones, link here https://amzn.to/4i3FEBD
I hope this has helped inspire to make your lunch prepping a little easier.
Blessings to you!
