I will put on my apron and embrace motherhood…

Homemaking is a beautiful thing. Staying home with our children that we longed for, and prayed for, is a beautiful thing. Baking for others is a beautiful thing. Let’s normalize slowing down. Let’s normalize homemade. Let’s normalize being grateful for what we have and stop wanting the next best thing. Let’s normalize privacy. Let’s normalize not oversharing vanity. Let’s normalize a happy life, with God centered, and praise Jesus.

I’ve learned so much in these last three months of starting up my blog. One thing that really sticks out to me is the lack of privacy now days on social media. Especially for our children. I smile every time I see another mother on Instagram that covers her child’s face with a heart. It brings such joy to share that similarity. Hopefully trends like that will spread!

I will admit, there have been many times where I’ve thought to myself, “this blogging and social media is a sin, and I should just give up.” But after praying and lots of thinking, I’ve decided not to give up, but to try to change the way things are, if that’s at all possible. I’ve decided I will not give up who I am just to get to where others might be. For example, everyone now is making videos and videos and videos. Who has that much time to make all those videos when children need to be taken care of in your home? I know I don’t. I’ve been learning more and more and yes, that’s helped speed up the process. But I’ve decided to be intentional with my content. I’ve decided I will not do what others are doing just to please others. I will do blogging my own way, and that may look like less videos, less vanity, and less likes. I don’t want the wrong kind of followers. It’s not about how many likes, it’s about the message you have for the world. My message is to spread the beauty of motherhood through the Gospel. Spread the Catholic faith, and spread kindness. I’ll share my homemaking ideas, and share my knowledge on nontoxic home items.

I’ve noticed so many people put Catholics into categories and are so misled. We are not democratic. We are not republican. We are Catholic. We are a family and show love towards each other. I will continue my blogging journey spreading the Gospel, and spreading kindness. I will put on my apron and embrace motherhood. Sharing all the good I see with my followers. Thank you for being here and reading this. Blessings!

I’m currently reading through the Gospel Centered Motherhood by The Daily Grace Co. They have many wonderful little reads spreading the Gospel. This one shown above you can find here, https://amzn.to/3GTFUFK.
