About Heather
A little more about me. When my husband and I first bought our home, the realtor told us we wouldn’t be able to have lilacs because of all the shade and pine trees. This was one thing I really wanted to have at my home. I’ve had them growing up and always dreamed to have my very own on my own land. After two years, and cutting down several trees, and fighting off deer, I finally had my first bloom! Then, a big storm came and broke down my four foot lilac bushes. That hurt. But I planted that same bush again in a different location and added more I got from my grandma. Today, they are over nine feet tall and bloom beautifully! I did it! And I’ve got even more growing in the back of our house too.
Homemaking is hard work. It’s not easy. The amount of work we’ve put into our home is enough to make me never want to sell. More importantly, we’ve made our house a home. The Piateks. And this blog is how I did it. Faith, determination, and loving my husband. Never giving up. We have two beautiful babies and I get the privilege of being their stay-at-home Mama. It’s a blessing to cook meals for them and clean up our home. I love homemaking. I went to school for four years, earned my Bachelors Degree, major in psychology, and almost got a minor in English. I’ve always loved writing, blogging, nature, nutrition, photography, childcare and education, gardening (obsessed with lilacs), and being my authentic self.
I discovered that being home, taking care of my family is where I need to be. I’m a mama that looks for good deals on healthy and organic essentials for my family. There is nothing more important than taking care of the family God gave us.
